Terms of Service
These Terms are an agreement between you and Inbox Search (enterprise and VAT number BE1035530428, hello@inboxsearch.app; “we”, “us”) about the Inbox Search Outlook add-in and its plans (“the service”). By installing or using the add-in, you accept them; if you do not, do not use it. If you use the add-in for an organisation, you confirm that you can bind that organisation. You must be at least 13 (16 in the EEA) to use the add-in, and at least 18 to buy a paid plan.
1. The service
Inbox Search is an Outlook add-in that searches your mailbox by keyword and by meaning, using AI that runs on your device. It only reads your email: it does not send, change, move or delete it.
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the add-in. All rights in it stay with us. If you send us feedback, we may use it freely, without any obligation to you.
How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy, which is for your information and is not part of these Terms.
2. Acceptable use
You are responsible for keeping your Microsoft account secure. You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer or decompile the add-in, except where the law allows it
- Use the add-in unlawfully, or on emails you are not authorised to access
- Interfere with the service or try to get around its security or its plan limits
- Access the service with automated tools other than through the add-in itself
3. Plans and payment
The Free plan includes keyword search and a daily allowance of AI search at no charge. Pro removes that daily limit. Current limits and prices are on our pricing page, and the final price, including any taxes, is shown at checkout before you confirm.
Polar is the seller. Pro is sold by Polar (Polar Software, Inc.), our reseller and Merchant of Record. Polar handles payment, invoicing, tax and refunds, and its terms, shown at checkout, also apply to your purchase.
Trials, renewal and cancellation. Pro may start with a free trial; unless you cancel before it ends, it becomes a paid subscription. Subscriptions renew automatically at the price then in force until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the add-in’s Settings or Polar’s customer portal, and keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for. Uninstalling the add-in does not cancel a subscription. Price changes apply only to future billing periods, with reasonable prior notice.
Refunds. If Pro has not worked for you, contact us within 30 days of a charge and we will refund it. Consumers in the EU/EEA also keep their statutory right of withdrawal and other mandatory consumer rights.
4. Changes and termination
We may change, improve or remove features to maintain or develop the service, and we may discontinue it. We may transfer these Terms to a business that takes over the service on the same terms. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms. You can stop at any time by uninstalling the add-in. If you are a consumer with a paid plan, you keep the rights the law gives you when a paid service changes or ends.
We may update these Terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use the add-in after that means you accept the change.
5. No warranty
The add-in is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it will find every email you look for, or that it works with every version of Outlook. If you are a consumer, this does not affect your statutory rights, including the legal guarantee that a paid digital service conforms to the contract.
6. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, such as those arising from an email the add-in did not find, from interruptions of the service, or from security incidents beyond our reasonable control.
We are also not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as outages of Microsoft, Cloudflare or other providers we rely on.
Our total liability for all claims is limited to the greater of €100 and the amount you paid for Pro in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for intentional misconduct or fraud, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or anything else the law does not allow us to limit, or the rights mandatory consumer law gives you.
If you use the add-in for business purposes, you (and the organisation you act for) will indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your breach of these Terms or of the law. This does not apply to consumers.
7. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Belgian law, and the courts of Brussels have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you may also bring proceedings in its courts.
8. General
These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the service. If any part of them is found invalid, the rest remains in force. Not enforcing a right does not mean we waive it.
